2017年3月14日，新疆油田开发公司经理王康军来到新疆正通公司调研指导工作。新疆正通公司董事长总经理李月廷就公司的基本情况、钻井工作策划、自主化管理等几方面作了汇报。
新疆油田开发公司经理王康军听完新疆正通公司的工作汇报后，认为新疆正通公司工作扎实，近期、远期规划很好。同时对新疆正通公司下一步的工作提出了几点要求和建议：
一、基础在井队，要充分了解、掌握施工区块及井的基础资料，制定钻井技术方案，提前有预案，保证井控质量。
二、安全工作责任重大。基层领导等安全责任人要岗位职责清楚，奖罚分明。
三、抓好环保工作。环保是硬指标，要做好环保的具体事项，不能造成二次污染。井队柴油发电要逐步向使用工业电力转变，减少环境污染。
四、数据库建设。公司要加强钻井资料的数据库建设，要建立区块、井位、工艺、技术处理手段等资料的数据库，形成技术支撑的基础，同时也是技术的沉淀。
五、工具国产化。公司要充分发挥与国内科研机构及院校合作的优势，加大钻井工具的研发，为钻井降本增效做出贡献。
六、沟通交流。希望加强与正通公司在国际化人才的培训等方面的交流活动。
